A group of local World War I Veterans chartered the Three Lakes Post 431 in January of 1945. A few months later, in April 1945, the Three Lakes American Legion Auxiliary was chartered. For more than 70 years, the two have been active in local civic and Legion affairs. The Post Firing Squad and Color Guard regularly appear in parades, at funerals and at patriotic ceremonies throughout the region. The Legion Bar is open to the public from Noon – close. 7 days a week. Located in downtown Three Lakes and home to Legion Post 431 and Auxilliary. A dinner/dance is held at the Legion Hall monthly.
