The Three Lakes Fire Department Auxiliary enjoys a 25 plus year tradition of giving to the Three Lakes Fire Department and to many other charitable, educational and service organizations and individuals in our community.
Many dedicated auxiliary members and volunteers work to produce the popular Pumpkin Fest, held on the second Saturday of October each year at the Three Lakes High School. This major fund-raising event, held for the last 25 years, features 100 craft booths, delicious homemade food served all day, a raffle, games, and an outdoor farmer’s market. Admission is free. A donation to the Three Lakes food pantry is appreciated.
Proceeds from this event are used to purchase needed equipment for the fire department, including support for the new second fire station. Examples of items bought over the years include tools, rescue equipment, training dummies, “jaws of life”, generators, appliances, furnishings for the fire stations and much more. Help also goes out to fire victims in a variety of ways.
The Auxiliary welcomes new members and anyone interested in assisting with Pumpkin Fest. To become involved with the group contact President Cindy Starke at 715-546-2042 or Vice President & Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Carlsen at 715-546-2469.
